OpenAI is rolling out a feature called Sites inside Codex, now in preview for business and enterprise customers. It lets users generate hosted, interactive web apps from natural language prompts, producing dashboards, planners, project boards, galleries, and lightweight tools without writing frontend code.
The distribution mechanism matters as much as the generation: apps are instantly shareable via URL within a workspace, making Codex a lightweight alternative to tools like Notion, Airtable, or internal BI dashboards for teams that need something fast and collaborative.
This is early preview, which means the constraints, pricing, and limits are not yet public. The full rollout will determine whether Sites is a genuine workflow replacement or a demo-friendly novelty. Watch the OpenAI enterprise changelog closely.
