Bucket Mouse has built a ground-up replacement motherboard for the Game Boy Advance, timed to the console's 25th anniversary. This is not a mod. The original PCB is discarded entirely, with only the CPU and RAM harvested from the donor unit.
Every other component can be sourced new, making this the correct solution for heavily damaged handhelds that would otherwise be scrapped. The board ships with native stereo audio on the headphone jack, eliminates the screen-upgrade audio interference that plagues standard GBA mods, supports LiPo battery conversion, and improves on original battery life.
