Vercel ran its 2026 AI Accelerator across six weeks, ending April 16th with 39 teams pitching at Demo Day in San Francisco. Each team received over $200,000 in credits spanning the Vercel AI stack, AWS, Anthropic, OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Neon, Supabase, and more, totaling $8 million in infrastructure across the cohort. The program covered agents, developer tools, and vertical AI across finance, security, healthcare, and robotics.
Three teams won $100,000 or more in credits and prizes. Rex, building AI for enterprise accounts receivable, took first place and received a direct investment from Vercel Ventures. Hacktron AI, which embeds into the development lifecycle to detect and fix exploitable vulnerabilities as AI-generated code scales, placed second. Roots, an AI-native real estate platform promising buyers monthly savings and sellers higher net proceeds at closing, placed third. The judging criteria, problem validity, technology fit, product quality, and pitch execution, are worth reading for founders building in any category.
The prior cohort's 40 alumni have raised over $100 million in venture funding, with several accepted to Y Combinator. Stably, the 2025 winner, moved from pilots to contracts and cut shipping time to hours. Applications for the next cohort open later this year at vercel.com/startups.
