Taylor Farms is voluntarily pulling all iceberg lettuce sourced from central Mexico from the US market following a Cyclospora outbreak. The contaminated product originated as 5-pound bags of shredded lettuce processed at a facility in Guanajuato, Mexico.
Taylor Farms notified major customers on Thursday, including Taco Bell parent Yum Brands and food distributor Sysco, to remove the product from distribution. Taco Bell confirmed the affected ingredient is being indefinitely removed nationwide and pledged a 24-hour replacement timeline.
