GitHub launched the ESC collection, a summer merchandise drop available now at thegithubshop.com. The lineup includes a new HTML-tagged body tee, a fresh colorway for the header hat, footer pool slides, a Mona and Copilot Cabana matching shirt-and-shorts set, a hibiscus linen shirt, an invertocat cooler tote, and a hoodie-shaped can coozie modeled after the bestselling invertocat hoodie.
The product images were built using a lidar scanner, and the shop interface lets buyers manipulate the backgrounds: color, zoom, and layering. That detail is worth clicking through for, because it is an unusually self-aware bit of developer-targeted UX applied to what is otherwise a merchandise page. A Mona Octocat pool drink float rounds out the collection.
GitHub also flagged an upcoming World Cup drop with no further details. The ESC collection is live now. If you care about how a developer-focused brand builds a retail experience, or you want the slides, the full product list and the interactive shop are at thegithubshop.com/collections/esc.
