Apple TV+ dropped a teaser for Silo Season 3, and it rewinds the clock to show the silo community in its earliest days, centuries before the show's present timeline, when the outside world was still green.

The show, based on Hugh Howey's trilogy, is set in an underground city of 10,000 people whose recorded history spans only 140 years. The outside is a toxic wasteland visible only on screens at the top level. Anyone who asks to leave is sent out in an environment suit to clean the cameras and dies shortly after. Season 2 ended on an unresolved cliffhanger for at least one major character.

The teaser is worth watching because it is the first visual confirmation that the show will explore the pre-collapse world, not just reference it. How the silo was built, who built it, and why the outside became uninhabitable are the questions Season 3 appears ready to answer. No release date has been set.
