A Genius GM-6000 retro mouse now runs on an nRF52840 with Bluetooth Low Energy, thanks to a full PCB replacement by builder eSPee77. The original buttons and quadrature encoders stay. New optical sensors read the existing encoder wheels. Nothing about the physical feel changes.
The wireless conversion adds features the GM-6000 never had. Scroll support comes from holding the middle button while moving the mouse forward or backward. An onboard IMU enables an air mouse mode for presentations. The nRF52840 handles all of it on a single custom board.
