Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield has dropped his civil investigative demand for documents related to the Paramount takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery, ending his push to delay the deal's close by 60 days.

The withdrawal is not a clean win for either side. Paramount refused to comply with the document request, and the AG's office made that refusal public. Communications director Jenny Hansson confirmed to Deadline that Paramount's non-compliance was the reason the office pulled back, not satisfaction with the outcome.
