Meta is rolling out neural wristband handwriting to all Meta Ray-Ban Display users, expanding the gesture-based text input feature beyond its January early access release on WhatsApp and Messenger. The update adds support for Instagram, native Android messaging, and native iOS messaging.

The feature uses EMG signals from the bundled neural wristband to translate hand gestures into text, no touchscreen or voice required. It was the headline capability when the glasses were announced, then held back at launch.
