OpenClaw and Hermes frustrated one developer enough to build a replacement from scratch. Rasmic built Eve, an open-source personal agent builder, published at github.com/michaelshimeles/eveclaw, alongside a companion product called Adam at heyadam.xyz.

The core argument here is not that existing agent frameworks are broken, it is that they do not fit personal workflows. Building your own agent stack forces decisions about architecture, tool selection, and control that off-the-shelf solutions abstract away. That tension is the real subject of this video.

Watch this if you are evaluating agent frameworks or considering rolling your own. The codebase is public, which means the implementation choices are auditable, not theoretical.
