The Tensor G6 carries the same PowerVR DXT-48-1536 GPU as the G5, but the critical upgrade is the modem: it drops Samsung's Exynos modem in favor of a MediaTek M90. That swap alone addresses one of the most persistent hardware complaints about recent Pixel devices.
