A redesigned coat closet by Super Valid Designs holds 24 coats with one hand and over 30 with two, beating the original space's single-hand capacity of 10 coats by 140 percent. The new build is physically smaller than the closet it replaces, which maxed out at 21 coats only when aggressively force-packed with both hands.
The mechanism is the story. Super Valid Designs borrowed the pivot concept from a rug store display and adapted blueprint storage hangers to let coats swing out like pages in a book. Two hinged doors compress the coats during storage and expand to grant clean single-coat access without disturbing the rest. Cupboards on the top and bottom of the unit handle shoes and hats, and a dedicated bay garages a robotic vacuum. This is a full closet system built around density engineering, not a shelf hack.
