The Nopia synth, which went viral in 2023, is nearly ready to ship. Creators Martin Grieco and Rocío Gal told MusicRadar it launches in a couple of months at around £550.
Nopia is not a standard synthesizer. It combines four modules, keys, bass, arp, and pad, into a single performance instrument built around harmonic interplay. The one-octave Chord Builder and 12-button layout make it closer to a drumless groovebox than a conventional synth, which is exactly why it broke the internet two years ago.
The MusicRadar hands-on goes deeper than the price and timeline. If you want to understand how the four modules interact in live performance and why the control layout looks the way it does, the full demo is where that answer lives.
